CONSISTENT WEATHERED FINISH
When timber is left uncoated and exposed to the elements, it will gradually weather to a silver-grey color. The speed and uniformity of this weathering process depend on several factors, including the location, orientation, and design of the building. Timber that is sheltered from harsh weather conditions will take longer to weather, which can lead to an uneven or patchy appearance over time. This uneven weathering can take years to balance out, and in some cases, the timber may never achieve a consistent look. SiOO:X addresses this issue by providing a uniform weathered appearance within just a few weeks.
SIOO:X COLOURS
SiOO:X provides a beautifully even façade that is consistently weathered in appearance. It is available in two options: Original (a clear coating) and pigmented versions in Light Grey and Mid Grey. A rapid curing process begins immediately after application; any initial patchiness will fade over a period of 10 to 16 weeks. However, the Light Grey and Mid Grey options will impart more immediate color to the timber. After 2 to 3 years, the timber will be fully cured, achieving its final color. The result is a consistent weathered tone that develops years faster than with natural weathering.
