Product Description

ThermoWood® Pine is a stunning, sustainable solid wood material created through a natural chemical-free process involving heat and steam. This thermal modification technique produces a durable, dimensionally stable, and resin-free wood with a warm brown color that is sure to please the senses. Whether used for open jointed cladding, fascia, barge boards, door and window reveals, or other applications, ThermoWood Pine boards are a versatile choice. Sourced from Finnish-grown European Redwood (Scandinavian Pine), this material is heat-treated at temperatures over 200 degrees Centigrade, resulting in improved properties that make it perfect for exposed areas like external wall claddings.

 

Technical Information

  • Colour
    The heat treatment process alters the colour of the wood to a warm brown colour consistent throughout the section of the piece. Colour can vary
    slightly between boards.
  • Durability
    When properly finished and maintained, Thermowood cladding will deliver decades of trouble-free service. It has a decay resistance of durability class 2 (durable) according to BS1186-3 Part 4.
  • Stability
    Thermowood cladding has excellent dimensional stability because of its slow-grown Nordic pine. Shrinkage and swelling are minimal, displaying only small movements with changes in humidity.

Delivery & Returns

For national deliveries, the service is kerbside only, meaning the driver will deliver the timber to the curb/edge of your property, but not carry it inside, up steps, or into a building.

So you’ll need to plan for moving it from the delivery point yourself (or with help) once it’s been dropped off.

No automatic returns. Goods ordered in error or no longer needed can’t be returned for credit unless Beesley & Fildes agrees.
Possible returns (with approval):
Must be made within 28 days of purchase.
Items must be from regular stock lines (not custom or manufacturer-ordered).
Goods must be unused and in original packaging.

A minimum 25% restocking charge applies.
Special orders (items sourced directly from a manufacturer) cannot be returned without prior written agreement.
Delivery charges are non-refundable once the order has been dispatched, because a third-party courier handles deliveries.

DELIVERY DATES. All deliveries, Local or Nationwide, are normally 3-4* working days. Confirmation of delivery dates (and supplying branch) is given by email following the process of ordering through the payment gateway. Saturday delivery, local or by nationwide courier, may carry a surcharge.
