With its warm, rich hues - including golden browns, light browns, and pale reddish-browns - Yellow Balau adds a beautiful touch to any natural setting.

Celebrated for its exceptional strength and natural resistance to harsh weather, this decking is favoured for patios and gardens by homeowners across the country. Not only does it uplift any garden setting, but it’s a beautiful, classy, and modern choice for restaurants, cafes, and commercial settings.

Once installed, Yellow Balau Decking can resist harsh UV rays, staining, and fading, remaining charming and in great condition for years to come. Its yellow shade livens up any area, adding intrigue; it’s a great choice for beach fronts and poolsides.

The unmatched strength of Yellow Balau means it can handle the weight of patio furniture and heavy traffic, making it a perfect choice for public places or gardens that are frequently used.

Its smooth, anti-slip surface adds an extra layer of safety and a comfortable underfoot feel, keeping your garden functional from the summer to the winter. This is especially beneficial for homes with children or elderly adults, preventing the risk of injury.

If you’re looking for something that is naturally resistant to outdoor conditions, then you don’t have to look any further. Yellow Balau Decking is known for its ability to resist fungal decay, insect attacks, and moisture damage; you can say goodbye to costly repairs and replacements.

With a variety of stunning grain patterns and shades to choose from, the natural beauty of our Balau decking will uplift your home or property, providing a lush space to dine or lounge. Plus, its simple upkeep makes it a perfect choice for those looking for low-maintenance decking!

Technical Information

  • Colour
Colour can vary between boards and within boards. Typical colour range: yellow-brown tones, varying to brown and dark reddish-brown.
  • Durability
Knots – Almost all Yellow Balau boards are entirely knot-free. Occasional pin knots may be present
    Sapwood - Occasional
thin slivers may be present on a very small percentage of boards.
  • Stability
Deck boards with minor curvature and twisting, as far as proper installation is ensured. Yellow Balau experiences a high level of shrinkage from green to dry (usable) state. Shrinkage rate will vary between boards according to the orientation of the grain, therefore minor variances in board width are to be expected.
  • Grading
Grading applies to the visible area of the board after installation. Damage to unseen edges, like the tongue, is acceptable. For a better finish on the face, less material is removed from the reverse side. The reverse is not machined to the same standard and should not be considered ‘dual-sided.’- Click here for further grading information.
  • Sourcing/certification
Also known as Bangkirai. Manufactured in Indonesia from high-quality ‘standard & better’ grade Yellow Balau.

Delivery & Returns

For national deliveries, the service is kerbside only, meaning the driver will deliver the timber to the curb/edge of your property, but not carry it inside, up steps, or into a building.

No automatic returns. Goods ordered in error or no longer needed can’t be returned for credit unless Beesley & Fildes agrees.
Possible returns (with approval):
Must be made within 28 days of purchase.

Goods must be unused and in original packaging.
